Betreff: Young BPW Europe Newsletter FEBRUARY 2007

Dear Madame President,

Dear Young BPW (for Spam-Reasons in BCC)

Please find attached the Young BPW Newsletter for February, and I ask you to forward this mail to all your young members. Please note, that all your input is welcome for the next editions – don’t hesitate to send me in your papers or mails!

We have two very important and great News in February:

First of all:  Young BPW in France officially started!

For all Young BPW In Europe find here a message from Julie Egal, the new Young BPW Representative for France; on the picture left:

On 1st of February 2007 Young BPW France was launched in Paris!

My name is Julie, I am a student of a business school in Paris, and that is where I discovered BPW and begun to think about how we could attract new young women in the French BPW network.

Last year I went to the European Congress in Stockholm, where I met some of you and had a wonderful time speaking with BPW from all over Europe. Then in Paris I met Maëlle, Veronimatra and Berenice, who were also interested in the French Young BPW project. So we began to work on a starting evening, with a conference on the subject of the importance of networks in a woman's career. And on the 1st of February more than 30 people attended the "launch of Young BPW France"!

Now we are really looking forward to organising more events and activities. So if you have any advice to help us build a strong Young BPW network in France, all ideas are welcome, so do not hesitate to contact me. And I really hope we will meet soon!

Julie EGAL

Young BPW Representative for France

Dear Julie, Berenice, Maelle, Veronimatra – we wish you a successful time with Young BPW!

And secondly: High patronage of 2nd BPW Danube Meeting!

Alida Perkov, President of BPW Pula / Croatia, proudly announces that the President of the Republic of Croatia H.E. Stjepan Mesić, has accepted the high patronage of the Second BPW Danube net in Pula from 16. - 18 November 2007. This is an incredible honour and of course Young BPW are cordially invited to join!

Find attached a current report from Marion Volk, the Chairperson of DanubeNet. More information are to be found

Have fun and good progress with your plans!

With my best wishes,

Viktoria Balensiefen

Young BPW Europe Representative

2005 - 2008

27th Hanseatic Days 2007:
Become a Youth Hansa Delegate!

As well in May, the 27th Hanseatic Days will be hold. The BPW Hanseatic Group will meet first in Zwolle and then later move to Lippstadt.

For details see the attached invitation from Ulrike Bauer, Chair of BPW Hanse-Network.

Parallel, there is the convention of Youth Hansa, the youth organisation of the HANSE.

The youthHansa aims to foster the opinion and experience exchange in youth aspects, to develop concrete youth projects between hanseatic cities, to support school partnerships and youth meetings, to improve the communication between young persons in hanseatic cities, to bring together not organised young persons and youth groups, to enhance the community feeling of the hanseatic cities and their young citizens.

This idea was firstly initiated 1998 in the hanseatic city of Visby, which invited young persons to a youth forum during the Hansa Convention.

Youth Delegates shall be under 25 years old. They are nominated and sent out by the hanseatic cities every year in order to participate in the youthHansa program of the International Hansa Convention.

You live in a hanseatic city if you are interested in the HANSE organisation? Then just ask the major of your city, if there is a youthHansa group or if you could come to Lippstadt as a delegate.
