Betreff: Young BPW Europe Newsletter JUNE 2006

Dear Madame President, dear Young BPW,

Please find attached the Young BPW Newsletter for June, and I ask you to distribute this mail among all your young members. Please note, that all your input is welcome for the next editions – don’t hesitate to send me in your papers or mails!

The BPW Europe Congress in Stockholm is just over and I must admit, that I am fully overwhelmed by the experiences. Thanks a lot to Ewa Fallenius for everything you have done for Young BPW.

For those who attended, you will remember the wonderful Girls Night Out, Eva and Maria did prepare perfectly – it was nice to stay at Marias Galerie and later in the Theatre. Also the Young BPW Breakfast with PriceWaterhouseCooper brought us all a very good insight into the Swedish Social Systems. Must I explain that we can be a bit jealous, because this system seems to equalize well known differences in parenthood which we find throughout Europe?! The Young BPW Workshop was about our experiences and questions with Young BPW in our Clubs and Federations – interesting discussions arose and I think that everyone could take out of this workshop what she was looking for (if not – contact me). Interesting ideas were born and let us see what will happen!

Further we distributed the second Young BPW Guide with the topic: Integration of and Communication with new (younger) member. This Guideline also is the collected experience of Young BPW with new members in their Clubs – a wonderful paper which may contain good ideas and tipps for youI have copies for every Federation and Association. If you didn’t pick up your map, I will send everything to you.

Last but not least, I said Good-bye to the ECC. From now on I am only acting within “my” International Young BPW Committee as Young BPW Representative for Europe. Amélie Leclercq as elected member of ECC takes care for the topic Young BPW within the ECC and she will be my partner in the ECC. Thank you ECC for always helping me and I am looking forward to a fruitful cooperation with Amélie! The attached photo is the new and the old ECC Board.

With best regards,

Viktoria Balensiefen
